This is a unique tour in the world, near Isla Contoy we will find the largest concentration of Whale Sharks in the world, making this area the Whale Shark capital of the world.
Pickup times at your hotel or condo varies depending on where you are staying at, South of Playa del Carmen and Tulum from 5:00 am to 6:00 am, Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya from 6:00 am to 6:30 am and Cancun downtown and hotel zone from 6:30 am to 7:10 am.
After having a light breakfast and listening to a security and information briefing we board the boats and head to the whale shark area to find them, when we do we start the swimming, we remain in the area for almost 2 hours where you will be able to swim with this gentle giants and maybe even giant Manta Rays!
After this it is not over yet! We will take you to beautiful Isla Mujeres and it’s most crystal clear water beach, Playa Norte, where you will only not have a chance to do some more snorkeling or relaxing on the beach but you will also taste our Captain’s delicious “Ceviche” which is a fresh fish salad marinated with lime juice and spices, after an hour in paradise we return to our deck around 1:00 pm to take you back to your hotel or condo.
You’ll be notified the day before the tour of your pickup time. Pickup times will vary depending on where you are staying.
Marine Park Bracelet Price does NOT include $10 Mandatory Mexican government bracelet fee per person to enter whale shark protected areas. (Collected at dock) All participants must have the special marine park bracelet on while on the tour. Thank you for your help & cooperation. These funds will be used here in Mexico for whale shark research & conservation.
