5 Great tours to do in Cancun today
The tourism industry in Cancun and the Riviera Maya is growing so much, that it can be hard to decide which activities to do. This article is dedicated to help all travelers learn 5 great tours to do in Cancun today.

I want to help tourist identify 5 great tours that I would classify as some of the top tours based on 3 different factors. The type of activities involved in the tour, the price of the tour, and how long the tour last.
1. It’s important to know what activities you are doing in the tours. This will be want you will remember for the rest of your life and the experience from doing those activities should be unforgettable.
2. I don’t want you, the tourist, to be taken advantage of during your stay in Mexico. You should always compare prices before buying. Unfortunately, I feel like the big travel agencies take advantage of you guys by selling you with really high prices.
Since most tourist that travel to Cancun and the Riviera Maya are from other countries, their currency is worth way more than the Mexican peso and for that reason they are given prices way higher than what it should be.
3. You should also consider how long the tour last. There are many tours that have to take up all day because of distance and logistics, but some of the tours can be done in a much more organized way so the customers don’t have to waste their full day just to do a few activities.
I want to share with you my opinion on 5 great tours to do in Cancun today

#1. The Luxury catamaran experience to Isla Mujeres
The Luxury catamaran experience is definitely one of my favorite tours to experience in Cancun. I love it because it’s a perfect combination of action and relaxation.
During the tour, you are able to snorkel at the coral reefs next to Isla Mujeres. You also get to have free time in Isla Mujeres to go shopping at the local flea markets or rent a golf kart to explore the Island

Then, you get to enjoy an amazing Mexican buffet at a beautiful private beach club
Apart from all those activities, I love the sailing experience and of course, the open bar during the whole day. That definitely helps to create a party atmosphere.
If the weather permits it, you also get to experience the spinnaker activity on the way back to the mainland. An unforgettable activity.

#2. The new zip-line and mangrove tour
This new zip-line and mangrove tour that just came out last year is amazing. The best part is that it’s located in the hotel zone in front of the Omni resort.
That’s perfect if you don’t want to waste your whole day doing one activity. Because this tour only last about 4 hours.

It’s a great combination of a circuit of zip-lines above the Nichupte lagoon and a great sightseeing tour on a boat through the nature of Cancun’s ecosystem.
This is a great tour for the whole family or anyone staying in the hotel zone of Cancun.

#3. Get your own private boat
I feel like this tour is way underrated, but i think it’s my favorite. It’s a great tour for a small group who wants to choose what to do with their day.
It’s perfect for those who don’t want to be surrounded by a bunch of people. This tour will definitely help you experience Cancun and Isla Mujeres in a much more local, personalized way.

Your captain and sailor will take care of you during the tour. They will cater to your every need and make sure you have a great experience.
Whether you want to snorkel, go fishing, spend time in Isla Mujeres, or just cruise around the island, the decision is yours.
#4. The whale shark experience
This tour is only available for a limited time. The whale shark season starts on May 15th and ends on September 15th in Cancun.
If you are an action seeker, this is the tour you want to do. Definitely don’t over think it and do this activity if you are fortunate enough to visit Cancun during this time frame.

When you are out there in the middle of the ocean and you are snorkeling with the whale sharks, you will feel like a small fish in a big world. It will give you another perspective about life and it will help you appreciate nature a bit more.
Not to mention that there are also giant manta rays swimming around. If you’re lucky, you might also see wild dolphins.

#5.Tulum and turtle adventure
I think this tour deserves to be a part of the top 5 because it’s a great combination of activities. It’s perfect for those who want to visit the infamous Mayan ruins and also snorkel with real wild turtles in the same day.
Tulum has one of the top 10 beaches in the world, the sight leaves you speechless. Plus you get to learn about the Mayan culture a little bit.

Then you get to snorkel with turtles at the popular Akumal Bay located in the Riviera Maya. It’s a beach where the turtles live and nest. So you will always see turtles there.
What’s also great about this tour is that you experience it with a small personalize service of maximum 14 people.
