The boats that are used for the whale shark tour only fit up to 10 people maximum. This is because it’s a 2 hour boat drive out to the middle of the ocean past Isla Mujeres and Isla Contoy.
It is a private personalized service. Only 2 people jump out to swim with the whale sharks at a time with a guide in order to have a great snorkeling experience with the whale sharks.
If you decide to do this activity with your friends or family. Make sure that you are less than 10 people. If not, you guys will have to go on 2 different boats and split the group.
